The Spacesheep's First Bella-date

Sheepy demands a first date with ‘So U Think You’re Andro’ 2009 winner, Bella.

My thoughts formed faster than me taking action. I finally picked up the phone to call Bella on the day I planned to meet her. In half-jest, I asked her for a date at 7p.m. It was 2p.m but she gladly surrendered herself to a date.

It has been a while since Two Queens heard from the charming winner of ‘So U Think You’re Andro? III’. For all you poll-ers who picked Bella to go on a date with, please be ready for a whimsical night. You will need a strong physique, not for *ahem anything else but trekking through Singapore in search of that elusive spot.

Lucky for me, the walk was made bearable with her silly antics. The last minute fumble for dinner plans took us an hour of walking to get started. By then, the conversation was burning hot and past the warming-up stage.

Here goes a saucer of my ketchup with Bella at the 15minute cafe @ Lasalle.

Qn: What have you been up to since you've won last year?
Travelling? And brushing up on my photography skills. Recently, I've also been trying to learn to play the violin, as a guitar/ukelele of sorts. I just got really inspired after watching Andrew Bird, but I've been procrastinating, so my little violin at home has been untouched! Besides that, I've been trying to be less cryptic with myself, and more accessible to my friends. Aiyah but nothing beats the buzz of the competition quite honestly. So for all that I've mentioned, I'm sure they pale in comparison!

Qn: Describe the ideal first date you would bring someone on?
Gosh, bring someone on! Can I first say how much of a passive and guarded person I am, which makes me a really horrible person to date. I'm the equivalent of a snail. But, in the extreme situation, I guess I would bring someone somewhere exclusive, not to be mistaken with 'impressively exclusive to the world sort of manner', but privately exclusive - like a tucked away sun deck/ roof garden that's actually staring in your face but what most fail to notice.

Qn: What's your take on relationships?
It's horrible to play with people's hearts, taint them, and bruise them with the callous nature of your games! It becomes almost like binary fission thereafter, and that's rather pointless, don't you think? These are just what I've observed of flippant relationships, and I think that committing actually begins with diction. So... whether or not you realize that, I do take them seriously.

Qn: What's ‘So U Think You’re Andro?’ like, and why should people join?
Hmm...If you enjoy being pampered. Oh my, you won't believe how many professionals they have backstage! It's almost like Cirque du TwoQueens. There's always someone to constantly care for your hair, make-up, outfit, and intoxication levels (they believe some is good for performance!). Relax, let them pamper you and you'll enjoy this ride. But, just be nice and grateful, really, it goes a long away. The last thing to carry is some pompous, diva attitude. Please, keep that for your mother.

Qn: What does TwoQueens symbolise?
A chockful of overachieving Superwonders.

Qn: Girls are.....
Who we are, but which some deny.

*’So U Think You’re Andro?’ is an annual reality competition organised by TwoQueens. Bella emerged the Champion from 11 other girls, after five weeks of fierce competition which included friendly fire, and talent show-casing. She is currently the leading girl on our poll for "Which TwoQueens SUTYA winner you would ask on a date", and is working at a museum as a pet snail.

About Space Sheep
She wanted to save the world with a huge ballpoint pen, but discovered the television and the internet. Since then, life has been put on hold as she discovered her natural flair for being a potato. To satisfy her alter ego, she hides behind a colored screen working her naked fingers across square blocks to entertain you. She likes cheese, huge furry animals and is in the process of adopting a llama so they can watch television together (girlfriends are SO past tense).
